Lowering Your Cholesterol Level

The food that you eat has a very big effect on your health. A study shows that the location of someone together with his lifestyle has something to do with the foods that he eats. Well, this might be true because the availability of the food will also determine your diet. If you live in a place where there are so many green and leafy vegetables, you will surely have lots of these to eat and this is also true if you live in a locality of artificial foods. The bottom line is you have to make sure that you are eating right, yes, eating right is the key. Lower your cholesterol level and live long.

Lowering Your Cholesterol Level

Dietary Cholesterol

Dietary cholesterols are natural cholesterol that your body needs. They are plenty in foods like eggs, kidneys, prawns, etc. The amount of cholesterol in these foods has little effects on the cholesterol level in your blood unlike the saturated fats that you intake which will be discussed later.

Saturated and Unsaturated Fats

Saturated and unsaturated fats are the two kinds of fats. There are foods that are rich in saturated fats and they are responsible for the cholesterol level in the blood. If you are not careful in eating these kinds of foods such as cakes, biscuits, meat pie, lard, ghee, butter, etc. you will surely increase your cholesterol level and pay the price later.

On the other hand, another type of fats is unsaturated fats. These are common in foods like nuts, fish, vegetables, seeds, etc. These are good replacement for the foods that you eat with too much saturated fat. These are healthier compared to that and are recommended for you to lessen or lower your cholesterol level.

If you will not carefully choose the foods that you eat, you may end up ending your life earlier.
